Brand & Strategy

Branding  has to be both aligned in messaging and visuals throughout the whole organization to increase brand awareness and  recognition.

The Oracle "Redwood" Rebrand

As an contractor at Oracle, the company had a shift from the traditional from Red, White and Black to a muted spectrum of earthtones that became know as the "Redwood" brand. In the early stages of the rebrand they wanted to see some potential samples of the new brand applied to emails. And here the concepts were born.

Gigamon and "Hawk"

In the Gigamon product offering, there is a main component called deep observability which all data running through the network is analyzed for potential security issues. This became known as Gigamon Hawk , with the idea that a Hawk has very sharp vision and can hone in and focus on particular parts of the network. We had hired an agency to do some concept work around this but none hit the mark. So because of that I had stepped in to provide my own ideas and what came out of it was a more elegant solution to the notion of honing in to a particular area. With that being said, what I proposed was a blowout of color to our black and white photography to draw attention to the area. Here were some images selected and edited by me in Photoshop that because the hero banners on the website:

Brand Strategy

Problem: How do we support marketers of our company with such a small design team? There are a multitude of requests which because more of a constant production task on a daily basis.

Solution: I decided to use Canva because it was a non-designers platform that was easy to use. Other people were already familiar with it, so I had a great idea to build our brand templates on Canva enabling our team to change copy, add a different image to a template and export their marketing piece. I uploaded all our brand approved images, icons, and set the brand colors and typography into the platform. My manager was impressed with the results and people were also happy that they didn't have to wait. We did have the final say with brand approval before anything could be downloaded so that we were able to monitor the final product =)
